Located at a height of 2994 feet from sea level, Dholkal is a beautiful hillock. An mysterious idol of Lord Ganesha is located on the peak of this hillock. Though it’s not known who have installed this idol here and when, archaeological experts believe that this idol is of 11th century. One have to travel 22 KMs on road to reach this location from district HQ Dantewada, and have to trek the peek in the company of lush green forest and beautiful nature. This area has been developed as a tourist spot by district administration, with proper guide and night stay facilities. A great treat for nature lovers.
