Administrative Setup

District Dakshin Bastar, Dantewada is one among the 7 districts of Bastar Division. Located in the southern part of the state of Chhattisgarh, district borders its boundaries in north with districts Bastar, and Narayanpur, in west with district Bijapur and in south with district Sukma.

District Dakshin Bastar, Dantewada consists of 234 inhabited revenue villages and 7 uninhabited villages distributed among 5 tehsils, under two revenue sub division. District have 143 gram panchayats (village level panchayats) and 4 janpad panchayats (Block Level Panchayats) functioning under one ZIla Panchayat (District Panchayat)

 There are 11 police stations in the district, and one divisional forest office. Districts comes under the jurisdiction of District and Sessions Court Dakshin Bastar Dantewada.  

The entire district fall under a single assembly constituency 88-Dantewada and is represented by  the parliamentary segment 10-Bastar along with the neighboring districts Sukma, Bijapur and Bastar.
